Posted by Melissa, from New Jersey on 9 Jul. ![]() We can not wait to go back to Belize, and you better believe it we will be staying at the Gumbo Limbo once more, just this time with the rest of the family!!! Their location is perfectly located to see so much- we went to ATM caves, Caracol ruins, the inland blue hole, the zoo, the rio frio pools, Big rock Falls, Caye Caulker and into Guatemala to see the Tikal ruins. The coffee kicked off each morning for our touring to begin. ![]() breakfast each morning is fresh regional fruits, homemade banana bread, cereal, yogurt and FRENCH PRESS COFFEE. Dinner always started with a homemade soup or salad then the main course and finished with desert. My hubby is a bit of a fussy eater but Mike always made sure the nights we were staying for dinner that they would have something he would eat, which was always amazing and first class. They helped us arrange tours, gave us directions to do things on our own and sat up late talking and laughing with us. The owners, Mike and Steve, made us feel like family that was staying with them. With that being said- our trip was amazing!!! The Gumbo Limbo was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. We booked everything on line on our own and were a bit nervous to have done this without a travel agent. Our trip to Belize was a second Honeymoon to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. ![]()
